Why I built this game

I built PM Detective because I wanted a better way to learn product management myself.

As someone trying to break into product, I found that most learning material stops at concepts and frameworks. But the real challenge of being a PM isn't knowing the definitions — it's diagnosing problems when things go wrong and deciding what to do next.

Metric drops fascinated me. They felt like unsolved puzzles hiding real stories about users, systems, and decisions.

So I turned that curiosity into a game.

PM Detective is my attempt to create the kind of learning experience I wished existed: practical, realistic, uncomfortable at times, and focused on thinking rather than memorization.
